Playing music using guitar is very fun, but I have no skill to play real guitar, even less to play song like Canon Rock, Metallica, Linkin Park, RHCP, and much again. Uh………so hardly.

And one day, I visit my friend’s home and he invite me to play a PC game. And when I look the title of the game that will we play is…Guitar Hero…..mmmmmmm I have know this is a good game.I try to play this game with my friend, and WOW……..this game is really really GOOD. I can play many song that have difficult skill to play. And amazing…… I can play Canon Rock, Metallica, Linkin Park, RHCP with fun and easily.

Feel happy and fun with this game, I ask to my friend about system requirement to play this game. WOW…..so heavy, my PC is too old and slow to play this game and maybe can not play this game. I feel disappointed. I go home with feeling so sad. I just turn on my PC and browsing about another game that have same game play like Guitar Hero. About 15 minute surfing, I found a game like Guitar Hero. This game also about playing guitar to finish the song. The game is........jreng..jreng...jreeeng.........Frets on Fire......This is the screenshot with original MOD.

You just use your keyboard to play this game. Your keyboard function is like a quitar, with custom button that can you setting so it have function like guitar string. Up to you,.........you can setting custom button on your keyboard until you get comfort button setting. Also there is tutorial include on the game about how to paly this game, you can follow it before you play this game.

About gameplay,......you will choose a song that you want to play......and after you paly a song, you will get SCORE as the result. And you can compare your score with your friend, and who get the best score....he is the winner......

You ca customize your Frets on fire like :

Add song
Add MOD and change your FOF MOD, and don't be sureprize if FOF have game interface like Guitar Hero.....haha....you just change the MOD. Look at this ..

Add another instrument to play...like bass, piano, drum, etc

Frets on fire is a freeware so you can get it by download it on Frets on fire home site. And finally, both Guitar Hero and Frets on Fire is the best guitar game. If you want play a guitar with 3D animation and many visual effect, play Guitar Hero.....but if you want to try new experience ....play Frets on Fire.

This is one of the best freeware that I know. Dia is a diagram creation program and based of gtk+. This freeware was released under the GPL License.

I think, you are ever or maybe often use Visio from Microsoft to drawing Diagram. But, to use it, you must charging us more and more for it. Dia was born to be one of the alternative program to drawing diagram. Dia is very similar to Microsoft's Visio application, and was developed as part of the GNOME project's office suite. For anyone going entirely open source, without any Microsoft products, it's not a bad idea to use GNOME (which comes with a slew of applications) and Dia.

Dia is designed to be much like the commercial Windows program 'Visio 97'. It can be used to draw many different kinds of diagrams. It currently has special objects to help draw entity relationship diagrams, UML diagrams, flowcharts, org charts, network diagrams, and simple circuits. Blender, it’s remember me with a tools in my kitchen. Yeah, it has same name with that. But in this case Blender is one of the free software that can make 3D image with many feature. If you ever use 3DstudioMAX, MAYA, or Lightwave, yeah, this software have same function with that. Blender was made by Ton Roosendaal, and in 2007 established the Blender Institute to coordinate and facilitate Open Projects related to 3D movies, games or visual effects. in April 2008 the Peach Project, open movie "Big Buck Bunny", was completed in the Blender Institute. Currently the open game Apricot is being in development. The official website of Blender is http://www.blender.org.And I think that Blender is great, it looks from more feature and the advantages that come with blender.

The excellence of Blender is :

This is the first best point that I means. Because you can get blender for free, without payment for licence. And I think blender have good expectation in animation industry.

I say like that because, you can work for fast and eficient with combination between keyboard and mouse. For beginner, you will feel hardly, but with try to spend a little time by using blender you will get a new experience, and that’s FUN.

Like other 3D software, blender can use to make 3D movie, game, 2D/3D animation, and visual effect. From some function that blender have, I like using blender for making game. Blender have internal game engine with Python as core programming. So easy and once again that’s FUN.

This is also one of the best excellence of blender. With Python as base programming, and blender was made using Python, so blender have small installer and installed package. As you know that, for the newer version of blender 2.48 on Windows Operating System have installer as executable file about 9 MB and 13 MB in zip file.
You can compare with other comercial 3D software that have big size in your hard disk.

Blender can run with many Operating System, that is Microsoft Windows, Linux/Unix, Mac OS X, Solaris, and Irix. A something that can not found in other 3D Software.

For example, I using blender in my PC with specification : Intel Pentium III 450MHz, 256MB of RAM, Radeon 9200 grphic adapeter, 40 GB of HDD, and CDRW. You can imagine and compare my spec with your computer. So OLD. And you can compare with other 3D software that need big resources .
